Time to share the news!

I’ve been sitting on a little secret… not only have I been cooking up some new products over the last few months, I’ve also been cooking a human!
Yes my partner and I are SUPER excited – in fact we’re slightly over the moon. But I’ll be honest, there has been quite a lot of fear coming up as well. Like, how will I keep nurturing my first baby (my business) once the baby’s born? This business is not just something I do for work and money, this is my heart and my soul and even if I won a lottery and never needed to work another day in my life, I would still be doing this. Why? Because it’s exactly what fuels my being.
I think for anyone going through some kind of a transition big or small, there is a feeling of a loss that happens. It’s a loss of how things have been done in the past, a letting go of identities to make way for something new, something yet to be experienced, and it can be uncomfortable and even frightening.
It’s at times like this when we need to really anchor in trust. Trusting that no matter what happens, we will be ok. In fact, more than ok. Trust is a belief that can be cultivated and sometimes it’s a muscle that needs to be strengthened. Right now, I’m working out my trust muscle big time. Trusting that whatever comes next will not only nourish and look after my baby come December, but also take this beautiful business to where it has always meant to be (a place I can’t even see).
So here’s to the unknown, to trusting, and to this beautiful community of people who I don’t always hear from, but know they are always there.
